As a Title VI National Resource Center, the Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke conducts outreach activities throughout the year for local, regional and national audiences. In particular, the Outreach office collaborates with K-12 schools, post-secondary institutions, community groups, businesses and media. Exhibitions, which take place during the fall and spring semesters and are attended by students, faculty, and community members, feature the work of diverse Latin American and Caribbean artists. Every fall, we hold the North Carolina Latin American Film Festival, highlighting new works from across Latin America and the Caribbean. The Film Festival is free and open to the public. Our Outreach Program offers resources, such as curriculum and professional development, to K-12 and college educators.
